Standardised testing
Use the same protocol, handle position, posture, arm position, instruction and rest interval each time. Record unit, side, position and repetition; compare only with suitable reference values.
Before each test
Check zero and reset the peak pointer without forcing the measuring needle. Use the wrist strap, ask for a controlled squeeze and prevent drops or impacts.
Calibration
This is a precision instrument. Have accuracy checked periodically and after a drop or concern under manufacturer and organisational procedures; do not use if leaking, sticking or damaged.
